Different Types Of Writing And Presenting - 870 Words

Professor Liberato Silva dos Santos, During this semester, I learned about the different types of writing and presenting. This is known as the WOVE communication. WOVE is an acronym for these types of communication: Written, Oral, Visual, and Electronic. Each type of communication has its pros and cons, but if you are able combine more than one type together, you end up communicating to your audience better than with only one type of communication. Ever since being in this class, I have learned what my preferred type of communication, my weakest type of communicating, how to combine and improve my communication to make my presentation more affective and learn when to ask for help when trying to make my work to its full potential. My strongest type of communication would have to be oral and visual communication. I believe that these are both types of communication that come to me more naturally than some of the others. The reason why I say that is because oral and visual communication is my preferred type of presenting and I’m the most comfortable with these due to the fact that I am able to express myself more effectively in these types of communication. For example, when presenting my visual rhetorical analysis, I was able to express myself more since I had background information about the picture and was able to discuss why my claim was important for the audience to hear.
